Code Automation overview

Code Automation is a Business or Enterprise feature only.

CodeSee Code Automation helps to handle repetitive tasks in the code review process. Automation is configured by creating Triggers, which are composed of conditions that determine when the Automation should activate, and of actions that determine what should happen upon activation.

Each Trigger is tied to a specific GitHub repository.

Here are a few examples:

• Post checklist items and a descriptive reminder whenever a PR contains a migration, to ensure the proper testing and deployment process is followed for migrations.
• Assign the security team whenever critical parts of the codebase are modified, to ensure a proper security review.
• Post checklist items whenever a new model is added to the codebase, to make sure best practices are followed.

Business tier limits

While the Enterprise tier can enable unlimited Triggers, acounts on the Business tier are limited to the number of Triggers that can be enabled per repository.
